Hi there! My name is Krista.

I founded Calgary Mobile Massage and Stretch Therapy in 2015 because I enjoy working with and helping others.

2200 hour Massage Therapy Diploma from Mount Royal University

Level 2 Fascial Stretch Therapist from the Stretch to Win Institute

Level 1 Lymphatic Drainage Therapist from the Chikly Health Institute.

I believe the body works together as a unit and thus I aim to treat from that viewpoint, exploring the deeper reasons for your symptoms.

We can work on improving chronic postural dysfunction, increasing flexibility and range of motion, treating various injuries, or simply relieving stress.

My particular area of interest lies in fascia: various layers of connective tissue that stabilize, attach and separate muscles and organs. I address fascia in my massage treatments and while doing FST.

In my downtime, I can be found practicing yoga, running, adding to my indoor garden, and hanging out with my cat.

Katie is an important part of our team and will be working with some of you.

3000 Hour Massage Therapy Diploma from MaKami College

Manual Osteopathic Practioner from the National Manual Osteopathic College

As a therapeutic massage therapist, Katie offers Swedish sessions, cupping, orthopedic massage, and myofascial release.

She also offers foot reflexology.

Katie is a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner whose techniques include non-invasive and hands-on corrections of joints, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and advanced fascial release.

She believes that the body is most productive when treated as a whole unit, and in healing what is at the root of the problem, not just the physical representation.

When Katie isn’t treating, she can be found in the great outdoors camping with family, reading a good book, and kickboxing.

A big welcome to Jerri-lyn!

2200 Hour Massage Therapy Diploma from the Northern Institute of Massage Therapy

Level 1 Fascial Stretch Therapist from the Stretch to Win Institute

Personal Training Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

DTS Level 1

Jerri-lyn started her journey into massage as a personal trainer. In addition to her training background, she also offers Fascial Stretch Therapy, myofascial cupping, and uses her knowledge of advanced orthopedic massage in her sessions.

Jerri-lyn loves to learn and help others learn about and understand their bodies. She believes that treating the body as a whole is important to help achieve balance and relaxation.

Born and raised in Calgary, sports have been an integral part of her life. She played college basketball at both SAIT and Olds.
This led to the desire to learn how to prevent injuries and help others heal from their injuries.

In her free time, you will find Jerri-lyn playing basketball, working out, and learning new things about the body and all
of its systems.

Thomas is on an extended leave of absence at this time.

Thomas is a valued addition to our team and will be working with some of you.

3000 Hour Massage Therapy Diploma from MaKami College

He started his journey in the health and wellness industry to help improve the quality of life for others.

Thomas uses techniques such as myofascial release, advanced remedial massage strokes, and joint mobilization.

He also offers therapist-assisted and home-based stretching/strengthening to either maintain healthy tissue or treat injured tissues.

Above all Thomas promotes safety and comfort, ensuring that the massage experience can be educational and enjoyed by all.

In his free time, Thomas can be found out of the city hiking and camping, jogging, or cooking a good meal.

Such a great experience. The booking was easy. Krista is very professional and it was so nice to have an excellent massage in my own home.

Highly recommended! Krista is incredibly good at her craft. You can’t beat the convenience of having her come to you and she is always flexible and accommodating with times. She leaves you with knowledge and tips for stretching. See no reason to go anywhere else!

Warren and Marie

Q: What are the benefits of mobile massage, FST, or Lymphatic drainage?

A: Massage has numerous benefits including decreasing muscle tension and pain, increasing range of motion, decreasing cortisol levels, and increasing serotonin and dopamine levels.

Fascial stretch therapy will decrease pain, increase flexibility and range of motion, mobility, posture, balance, coordination, power, and strength. People of all ages benefit from this treatment.

Lymphatic drainage helps to stimulate your immune system, and will provide relief from inflammation such as allergies, acne or eczema (subacute or chronic stage). It helps in the reduction of edema (swelling), aids in detoxification, promotes deep relaxation, and causes tissue regeneration (scars, burns) and anti-aging effects.

You will also be able to relax in the comfort of your own home after your session.

Q: How often should I book a treatment?

A: If we are working on a specific concern or area, a treatment plan will be created and timing will vary person to person.

For massage maintenance we recommend every 4-6 weeks.

Q: What is Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST™)?

A: First off, what is fascia? Layers of connective tissue, mostly collagen, that stabilize, attach, and support muscles and organs.

FST™ is assisted proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitated (PNF) stretching. Manual decompression of joints and soft tissue includes manipulating, re-organizing, re-aligning, and lengthening the fascia of the body. Treatment is done clothed with the use of soft straps to stabilize as you are stretched.

Q. What is Lymphatic Drainage?

A. The Lymphatic system is essentially a waste removal system that closely follows the circulatory system. When it is working as it should, it helps to drain stagnant fluids, filter out toxins and foreign substances, regenerate tissues, and maintain a healthy immune system.

Lymphatic Drainage is a lightweight treatment (weight of a dime) aimed at sustaining and improving the flow of lymph. LDT therapists can feel the specific rhythm, depth, quality, and direction of the lymphatic flow.

Q. What is Manual Osteopathy?

A. This treatment focuses on palpation and various other manual methods for structural assessment and treatment. The idea is to identify the root cause of the symptoms and restore balance in the body as a whole, factoring in various systems including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, digestive, reproductive, and respiratory.

Q: How much room do you require?

A: The standard massage table is 73 inches long and 28 inches wide. We require enough room to move around the table and bring you into stretches, if we are doing FST™, so a good rule of thumb is the size of the table plus 3-4 feet around the table for massage and 4-5 feet for FST™.

Q: What areas of my body will be massaged?

A: This depends on what we are working on. You will be covered at all times with a sheet and only the area we are treating will be undraped.

Q: Do I have to remove my clothes?

A: We want you to be comfortable, so the decision is yours. For a traditional massage the person will undress and lie on the table under the sheet, and the area we are working on will be undraped. You will change in complete privacy.

Fascial Stretch Therapy is performed fully clothed. Please wear athletic clothing that allows a lot of movement, such as yoga pants and a tee-shirt.

For our other modalities, we will chat when you book and advise you on how to prepare.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept email money transfers, cash, VISA, Mastercard, and American Express.

Q: Can I use my healthcare benefits for mobile massage?

A: Yes. We recommend you inquire with your insurance provider on exactly what they cover. Most insurance plans cover massage therapy, whether a percentage or certain dollar amount. You will be emailed an itemized receipt after your treatment that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

We require a deposit of 50% within 24 hours of booking. The remaining 50% will be paid at the time of treatment.

Deposits cannot be applied to payments of new treatments.

Cancellations and Modifications

Due to COVID-19, our cancellation policy has temporarily changed. Please give as much advanced notice as possible if you need to cancel due to sickness. Your time is set aside for you. It can be difficult to fill last-minute vacant spots and this effects the therapists as well as other clients.

If you are feeling unwell in any way, we can be reached by phone or email and will respond in order to confirm the cancellation or modification.

If you are not home when we arrive for your scheduled treatment you will forfeit the deposit.

Please note that no more than 2 consecutive modifications for the same appointment are allowed. After 2 consecutive changes are made, the deposit will be forfeited.

Due to COVID-19, our sickness policies have changed. You will be sent a pre-screening questionnaire to be completed no earlier than 24 hours prior to your booking. This must be signed prior to the appointment.

*If you present with any of the symptoms, please let us know and we will reschedule your appointment.*

In the event that we have not been notified and you or someone else in the house is sick when we arrive, we will need to rebook and you will forfeit the deposit.

You will be given an additional questionnaire prior to commencing your treatment; these questions are similar to the pre-screening questions.

If we are sick or presenting with any of the COVID-19 symptoms, we will give as much advance notice as possible and reschedule the appointment.

COVID-19 Related

At this time, each client will need to supply their own linens. This is to provide peace of mind, as you know where the linens have been, and also to protect the therapists from bringing linens back into their homes to wash. Twin flat and fitted sheets are ideal, plus a pillowcase for the face cradle. Please have a hand towel or face cloth available.

Your therapist will be wearing a surgical mask and may wear eye protection and an apron. You will be required to wear a mask when you are face-up on the table. You can either provide your own, or we will provide you with one for $1 if the therapist has supply. If we provide you with a mask, it can be reused for subsequent treatments as long as it is not damaged or dirty.

When on the treatment table, while you are face-up, you will be required to have a towel (or something like an eye sleep mask) over your eyes. This is to prevent any droplets that escape the therapist’s mask from entering your eyes.

Same day bookings

When you book a treatment for the same day, it is considered set and the full amount will be paid at the time of booking via e-transfer. If any changes to cancel or modify the treatment are made, the full amount will not be returned.

If you are running late, we will do our best to adjust without compromising our next appointments. Otherwise, the treatment may be shortened with regular fees applied.

If we are running late, you will receive your full treatment time.

Inclement Weather

In the event that the road conditions are poor and driving is not advised, we will give you as much advance notice as possible and reschedule your treatment to the next available date.
