We require a deposit of 50% within 24 hours of booking. The remaining 50% will be paid at the time of treatment.
Deposits cannot be applied to payments of new treatments.
Cancellations and Modifications
Due to COVID-19, our cancellation policy has temporarily changed. Please give as much advanced notice as possible if you need to cancel due to sickness. Your time is set aside for you. It can be difficult to fill last-minute vacant spots and this affects the therapists as well as other clients.
If you are feeling unwell in any way, we can be reached by phone or email and will respond in order to confirm the cancellation or modification.
If you are not home when we arrive for your scheduled treatment you will forfeit the deposit.
Please note that no more than 2 consecutive modifications for the same appointment are allowed. After 2 consecutive changes are made, the deposit will be forfeited.
Due to COVID-19, our sickness policies have changed. You will be sent a pre-screening questionnaire prior to your appointment and it must be signed before the session.
*If you present with any of the symptoms, please let us know and we will reschedule your appointment.*
In the event that we have not been notified and you or someone else in the house is sick when we arrive, we will need to rebook and you will forfeit the deposit.
You will be given an additional questionnaire prior to commencing your treatment; these questions are similar to the pre-screening questions.
If we are sick or presenting with any of the COVID-19 symptoms, we will give as much advance notice as possible and reschedule the appointment.
At this time, each client will need to supply their own linens. This is to provide peace of mind, as you know where the linens have been, and also to protect the therapists from bringing linens back into their homes to wash. Twin flat and fitted sheets are ideal, plus a pillowcase for the face cradle. Please have a hand towel or face cloth available.
Your therapist will be wearing at least an ASTM Level 1 surgical mask and may wear eye protection and an apron. You will be required to wear a mask when you are face-up on the table and when interacting with the therapist off the table.
When on the treatment table, while you are face-up, you will be required to have a towel (or something like an eye sleep mask) over your eyes. This is to prevent any droplets that escape the therapist’s mask from entering your eyes.
Same day bookings
These are not often available. If you do book a treatment for the same day, it is considered set and the full amount will be paid at the time of booking via e-transfer. If any changes to cancel or modify the treatment are made, the full amount will not be returned.
If you are running late or are taking time to get ready, we allow a few minutes buffer and will do our best to adjust without compromising our next appointments. Otherwise, the time you are taking will count into your session time, and the treatment time on the table may be shortened with regular fees applied.
If we are running late, you will receive your full treatment time.
In the event that the road conditions are poor and driving is not advised, we will give you as much advance notice as possible and reschedule your treatment to the next available date.
I understand that the massage, FST™, or other manual therapies that I receive are provided for the basic purpose of relaxation, stress reduction, and relief of muscular tension. I further understand that the treatment should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. I understand I should see a physician, chiropractor, or another qualified medical specialist for any mental or physical ailment that I am aware of.
I understand that massage therapists are not qualified to perform skeletal adjustments, diagnose and/or prescribe and that nothing said in the course of the session should be construed as such.
Because massage and other modalities are contraindicated under certain conditions, I affirm that I have stated all my known medical conditions and answered all questions honestly. I agree to keep the therapist updated as to any changes in my medical profile and understand that there shall be no liability on the therapist’s part should I fail to do so.
I understand that, because massage therapy and other manual therapy involves maintained touch and close physical proximity over an extended period of time, there may be an elevated risk of disease transmission, including COVID-19. I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks involved and give consent to receive treatment from the practitioner.
